Sustainable Building Sustainable building (green building) is no longer a concept for the future, but a reality of the present. Sustainable building is a win/win for the environment, for the home owner and the community. Technology is now available to help us "protect the planet" while we save money and valuable resources. We use the term sustainable building because it more accurately describes the true nature of the process. At RCCI we begin by calling our partners at Habitat for Humanity and Goodwill to make sure that everything of value can find a home and fill a need. Many of the appliances, plumbing fixture and much of the furniture will be used to supply the needs of another family in the community. You will receive a tax credit for your donation. During the planning and remodeling process we will make you aware of sustainable options that you might want to consider, including the hidden costs in some current choices.th Please ask us about the "Sustainable" options available for your project.
