Dear Rusty,

It's hard to believe, but it's been six years since we moved into our new home that you built. I just want you to know how much we enjoy the house and what a good job you did managing the build. The fact that you were totally honest with us is still overwhelming as that's all we ever asked (and never received) from any of our previous builders. Wow what a treat.

We hope all is well with you and your business.

Sincerely,

Jim & Debra McKenna

Dear Rusty,

Enclosed please find our final payment.  The new vanity, granite top, mirror and lighting look wonderful.

We’d also like to compliment you on all the workers who came to prepare and complete the job.  Each one was so efficient, neat, came at the appointed time arranged for and left everything in perfect condition. It was a pleasure to have them do the job for us.

Sincerely,

John and Dorothy Cole

Dear Rusty,

Maryann and I want to thank Jay, Susan, Pat and your team of great subcontractors for a terrific job on a complete remodel of our condominiums at Beachcomber on Longboat Key. We have done several other projects on Longboat Key, in Illinois and Wisconsin. None have gone as professionally as our project with your firm. It is difficult, to say the least, to do two major renovation projects from 1,300 miles away.

Rusty, even though you like to fish you run a very tight ship. Working with your staff was a welcome experience and the finished product is one we can all be proud to say we did it the right way.

We would not hesitate to recommend Rusty Chinnis Contractor Inc. or work with you on another project if you take me fishing!

Thanks Again

Dear Rusty,

Beginning any construction project is a time of a good deal of uncertainty and angst.  In the past year, my wife and I started one that had all the makings of a difficult project.   We bought a small house on Longboat and were looking to renovate and redesign the building.  While we had undertaken three remodeling projects in the last twenty years, this was the first one that had to be done long distance as we live in the New York area.

The easy part was the architect – who was a friend, a really talented guy who was born and raised in Sarasota.  The tough part was finding a contractor we could work with and felt could anticipate the inevitable countless details that could change as we went along.  Interestingly enough Rusty was recommended not only by Terry, but by other friends in the area.

As things worked out we went with Rusty’s proposal and it is safe to say that the results have exceeded my expectations.  A few important points made working with Rusty and his crew so productive and rewarding.  The first is the intelligence and integrity of everyone involved with his operation.  Estimates are accurate and he is a wizard at anticipating additional options or small touches that really make a renovation.  Second, when it comes to Longboat and the surrounding area, Rusty rules.  He knows everyone and has been around for a long time.  That’s not a shot at his age!  Lastly and perhaps most importantly, Rusty doesn’t walk away at the projects end.  The punch list was handled professionally and he was immediately on the spot when two unrelated problems arose (water and A/C problems not in the scope of our renovation).  This last point I think is what distinguishes a great contractor from a merely good one.

All of this adds up to an absolutely unqualified recommendation for an outstanding guy and an outstanding team.  It’s been a real pleasure.  Feel free to drive by and see the results.

Dear Rusty,

When we first decided on this extensive remodeling project of our home on Longboat Key, we were very fearful of a complicated long distance construction project. You came highly recommended to us, and we are so grateful we made you our choice.

Your honesty and professionalism in finding the solution to the most difficult details as well as your efficiency in completing the smallest request was amazing. Your ideas improved on what we wanted tremendously. Your subcontractors and decorators were superb. We have remodeled a house and built a professional park in the past, but none with such ease.

We will gladly recommend you to any future clients!

Sincerely,

Dear Rusty,

When Jerry and I decided to renovate our winter home here on Longboat Key, we were both excited and a bit apprehensive. Beginning such a large project when we were living thousands of miles away required some courage as well as a sense of adventure!

After talking to other condo residents here at the Castillian and listening to what they had to say about their remodeling experiences, including their difficulties in acquiring the necessary permits plus coordinating the many detail people, we knew we needed a concerned and highly skilled professional on this end. With recommendations from many condo owners and friends who knew your work, we put our project in your hands and are we ever glad we did!

We have loved our experience with your and all of the professionals with whom you work. After acquiring all the needed permits and handling all the details, you and your staff proceeded to answer our questions, quiet our fears, and generally exceed all of our expectations.

The people you sent to work with us were absolutely terrific! Their efforts have made our new living space a beautiful reality.
Jerry and I both want to thank you for being so good at what you do!

Thank You,

Ellen & Jerry Crozier

Dear Rusty,

This letter is written in appreciation of a great job done by you in refurbishing our condo on Longboat Key. The coordination of implementation was somewhat complex involving us in Germany and our interior designer in Key West.

When we returned we found the job completed in excellent craftsmanship. This was indeed impressive; however, we were even more impressed by what followed thereafter. It was easy to agree on a small punch list of items needing correction. You even added to this list items that we had not seen. You had barely left our place when the first craftsman showed up to make the agreed upon corrections.

It was a pleasure working with you. We really felt very good about it all the way and very particularly at the end.

Sincerely,

Mr. & Mrs. Bobzien

Dear Rusty,

Just a note to tell you how much we appreciate all of the work, done under your supervision, at our home. Your coordination with the architect, dealing with the "city fathers" to get all of their blessings; and the various and a sundry changes made to our original contract; all mixed together giving us a truly delightful finished project.

Having been in the Real Estate/Construction business in Minnesota you were dealing with some tough task masters. We have high expectations in workmanship and you were able to deliver and satisfy us.

We thank you for all of the attention you gave our project. We are enjoying our "finished product". Thank you for everything.

Sincerely,

Dick & Eileen Hassel

Dear Rusty,

Bob & I sincerely wish to thank you for the wonderful job you did in our home. We also want to thank you for your special concern about being so neat and clean during this renovation!  Recently, some visiting guests commented on how beautiful the addition looks and how it looks like it has always been here…. This is the ultimate compliment! Thanks for everything!

Fondest regards,

Bob & DJ

 Dear Rusty

We want to tell you how lucky and pleased we are to have chosen you to do our remodeling.  From the very first rough draft to the beautiful finished project we could not ask for a smoother relationship or a finer quality of workmanship.

You delivered everything we wanted and asked for and more.  Ginny and I dreamed of how it would look, but it superceded our greatest expectations.  The finishing touches have been praised by all who have seen it.

We have told many about your fine work and are happy and proud to recommend you. It was such a pleasure to work with a professional contractor and his fine associates. We are grateful for your friendship.

Our kindest personal regards,

Dear Rusty,

I have never gone through any kind of major remodel project.   And it was a very scary undertaking for me.  I had heard all kinds of stories about bad experiences people have had with their contractors.  Now that it is over not only am I going to miss the “subs” the job turned out beautiful, I now have the dream home I have always wanted.

I lived here while the project was ongoing and not only was the job done in a timely manner, the contractors where very considerate of the fact that I was here.  Everyone made every effort to keep me as comfortable as possible.  Whenever I needed something you and Pat were right there to see that it was done and done very well.  I loved seeing the project take shape from the tear down to the rebuild.

I know very little about construction but from what I could see, the very best went into my little condo on the Key.  It may have been a small project for you but it was a very big one for me and you made no distinction on the fact in the quality of service you provided.

Thank You
